Shipping Policy & Temperature Care

We hand-craft and pack each order with great care and usually dispatch within 24-72 business hours of receiving your order (excluding weekends and public holidays).

To protect the quality of our chocolates:

  • All parcels are sent via tracked courier with SIGNATURE REQUIRED.
  • We do not ship on Fridays or the day before long weekends, unless requested, to avoid parcels sitting in depots.
  • During warmer months, we generally ship Monday–Wednesday only.
  • In periods of extreme heat, we may hold your order until conditions are suitable for chocolate delivery.

Once your parcel is dispatched, responsibility for the delivery transfers to the recipient. If a delivery is attempted and no one is available to sign, the courier may hold the parcel in a vehicle or depot, which can expose it to heat.

For this reason, we strongly recommend:

  • Shipping to a business address, or
  • Ensuring someone is available to sign on the delivery day, or
  • Redirecting delivery directly with NZ Post once tracking is received.

Unfortunately, we cannot take responsibility for heat damage caused by missed deliveries or parcels held by the courier after a delivery attempt.

In-store pickup

You can skip the shipping fees with free local pickup at our head office, 250 Oaia Road or pick up from any of the markets we attend, please see here. After placing your order and selecting local pickup at checkout, your order will be prepared and ready for pick up within 2-3 business days. We will send you an email when your order is ready along with instructions.Our in-store pickup hours are by arrangement only. Please have your order confirmation email with you when you come.

 

Tracking Your Order

You’ll receive an email from NZ Post Courier with tracking details once your order has shipped.
Please check your junk folder, as these emails often land there.

You can sign up for delivery alerts or manage redirections directly with NZ Post using your tracking link.

Refunds, returns, and exchanges

In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please email us as soon as possible at hello@prettyfancychocolate.com with your order number and a photo of the item’s condition.
